Cisco CCNP EnterpriseCisco Certified Network Professional

Cisco CCNP Enterprise is the professional-level enterprise networking credential, earned by passing the 350-401 ENCOR core exam plus one concentration exam (ENARSI, ENSDWI, ENSLD, ENWLSD, ENWLSI, ENAUTO, ENCC, or ENNA). ENCOR covers dual-stack (IPv4/IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security, and automation on Cisco platforms. The 350-401 v1.2 blueprint takes effect March 19, 2026, with expanded coverage of SD-Access, programmability, and security. Concentration exams let candidates specialize in routing, SD-WAN, design, wireless, automation, cloud connectivity, or network assurance, so the cert maps directly to whichever Cisco track a candidate's employer runs.

Who it’s for

Built for the people taking this exam.

Mid-career network engineers, senior NOC staff, and CCNA holders ready to specialize in routing, SD-WAN, wireless, design, or network automation. Particularly common at Cisco-stack enterprises, ISPs, and federal contractors where vendor-specific expertise is treated as a hiring filter for senior network roles.

Why it matters in 2026

The career signal.

CCNP Enterprise is the credential that crosses the senior network engineer pay tier ($110-150k) at Cisco-stack employers. It is the de facto path toward CCIE and the most-requested professional networking cert in US enterprise job postings. The flexible concentration model lets candidates align the cert directly to their day job (SD-WAN, wireless, automation), which makes it more defensible on a resume than a generic networking cert.

Sample question

What a Cisco CCNP Enterprise question looks like.

Which management platform must oversee a campus fabric overlay to qualify it as an SD-Access deployment?

  • ANETCONF
  • BREST APIs
  • CCisco Catalyst CenterCorrect
  • DCLI

Why: For a campus fabric to be classified as SD-Access, it must be managed by Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center). Fabric solutions controlled through CLI or programmatic interfaces like NETCONF are considered campus fabric deployments but do not meet the SD-Access definition.
